Collette Lynskey gives organ donation talk at Altrincham Grammar
At Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, the 25 September was not just another day. It was a day filled with inspiration, courage, and the power to save lives. In a captivating 45-minute session, Collette Lynskey stood in front of over 200 year 12 students to share an incredible story and raise awareness about Jim Lynskey, Save9Lives, and the importance of organ donation.
The presentation went remarkably well, and the students were nothing short of amazing. And whilst Collette’s voice remained steady and strong throughout the talk, there were moments when her hands trembled so much that reading the script became a challenge! But adversity was no match for Collette’s determination and passion.
These are the moments that define true bravery – when we face our fears head-on and push through, even when it feels overwhelming. It's a testament to Collette’s unwavering commitment to the cause and the belief that spreading awareness about organ donation can save lives.
In those 45 minutes, the students at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys learned the invaluable lesson that sometimes, stepping out of our comfort zone can lead to incredible change. The simple act of registering as an organ donor can make the difference between life and death for someone in need.
